For nearly a century, locally-owned Pennfield Farms has been doing business with the same old-fashioned values shared by families all over Pennsylvania: hard work, an honest message, and an unshakeable commitment to quality. A few years back, that commitment led us on a continental search—through the grassy plains of the West to the northernmost regions of the Americas—for the finest, most consistently tender and flavorful beef available today.
We finally found what we were looking for just north a ways, in the wide-open farmlands of Ontario, CA where a group of Amish family farmers were raising some of the finest beef in North America.
What makes Pennfield Farms Beef so different?
Well, it starts with the clean air and pristine water of the Canadian outdoors—nature’s perfect foundation for strong, healthy cattle. In keeping with the Amish ways, the livestock is fed a simple country recipe of steam-flaked corn, sweet to the taste and easy on the digestion so the meat stays supple. A few drops of Vitamin E are added to the feed to safeguard the meat, an extra measure of care unique to the Ontario farming tradition.
And all Pennfield Farms Beef is raised under stringent Canadian guidelines, widely recognized as being among the most rigorous and progressive food safety standards in the world.
